Help!

Can someone please remind me how to get the picture in the header to fit? Do you edit the html? It's been so long since I have done that, and I can't remember! I don't really want to waste the time figuring it out!

Italian Cookie Day

I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful, large Italian family. If you have ever seen the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, that is my family, only Italian instead of Greek! It is a Christmas tradition to make some Italian cookies every year. My 100-year-old aunt has done this every year. I have helped out once before about 7 years ago. There are many others in my family that make these cookies. Last week I received a call around 8:30 pm asking if I wanted to help make cookies the following day! I was SO excited! I had a list of things to do, but quickly dropped the list and headed down to help out! My great-aunt Della was there, her daughter Patti, and cousin Carol Jean. Carol Jean's son John and wife Shannon also came over. Carol just redid her entire upstairs, and has an AMAZING kitchen! They have one of those island counters that is 9-feet long and topped with marble! It was so great to be able to use that to make the cookies! I was there for 6 hours, and we still were not finished! I had a previous commitment and had to leave early! We had a really great time visiting and helping each other out! My Aunt Della was cracking jokes the whole time! She kept saying that because she was in the triple digits now, she could take it easy and work slow! (She did neither of those things!) Anyway, here are a couple of pictures:

Festival of Trees

We went to the Festival of Trees on Friday. It was SOOOO crowded! We went with our friends, Benj, Ashlie, and Ty. We had a great time. We weren't able to see very many trees, but what we did see was FABULOUS! They also have a bunch of AMAZING gingerbread houses. We ended with visiting Santa.

Ty even shared his beloved Elmo! He doesn't go anywhere without Elmo and Cookie Monster. How kind of him to share!

We had a great time, but next year we will go during the day on a weekday to avoid the masses!

Ugly Sweater Party

We decided to have a little Christmas party with a few of our friends. This group of guys have known each other since elementary school! The night before, we decided to make it an ugly sweater party! Not everyone participated due to the lack of time. We had a yummy ham dinner, did white elephant gifts, and made graham cracker houses. There were 6 little kids there 3-years-old and younger!!! The kids had a lot of fun running, screaming, and playing together! The pictures of the kids I borrowed from Ashlie's blog! Hope she doesn't mind! :)

My first present! An authentic Russian hat, beans, and beano! I was so excited for this hat, but Josh so rudely stole it from me! I got another present, and once again, Josh stole that from me! (I think I must have done something to make him mad...)

8 Months and 7 Months (Ooooooppppssss!)

Here is Lilly at 7 months! She, of course, would not hold still to take this pic! With my next child I will use a stuffed animal or something different to compare their size with!

Lilly fell off our bed! It was so sad! I cried because I felt so bad! She got a carpet burn on the tip and side of her nose! That is what is on her nose in these 8 month pictures! She is getting so big and is learning to do more and more every day! We love her so much and we are so happy to have her in our family!

Happy Thanksgiving!

First off, I just have to say sorry for not blogging for such a LONG time! I have just not been in the blogging mood! Here are some pictures of Lilly on her first Thanksgiving! I waited too long and couldn't find a bib or onesie that said, "1st Thanksgiving" on it! :( But Babies-R-Us did have this Winnie the Pooh one, so that had to do! We went to Trevor's Uncle's house. We had a great time! The food was delicious! I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner! Yummy to my tummy! All the kids love to play with Lilly and her cousin Connor. Connor was sick and didn't want to play, so Lilly got A LOT of attention! I hardly took any pictures, but our cousin, Carson who is 6, took my camera and took a bunch. Here is Lilly:

Lilly was so exhausted after looking through the Black Friday ads! There are so many stores she wants to go to!Thanksgiving through the eyes of a 6-year-old: (Some shots are pretty good! Thank goodness for digital cameras and the delete button!!!)

Halloween

This year was Lilly's first Halloween! (Obviously) Trevor is building a deck at my parents house, so we went down there in the morning. In the afternoon we got a call from our tenants in Logan saying that there was a leak in the basement!!! (This just happened at our own house last weekend!) So Trevor had to stop what he was doing and head up there. This left my mom and myself to take Lilly Trick-or-Treating. We felt bad Trevor couldn't be there (I know he wanted to be), but we had fun anyway! Lilly had no clue what was going on, but she got some candy for mom and dad! We just took her to a few friends houses in the neighborhood. After the Halloween festivities, we went to our friends' house, Jen and Bruce, and made Witches Brew and played Canasta! Trevor made it back in time for the fun! Lilly looked so cute in her Ladybug costume! Here are some pics of her.

Dogs

Here are some pictures of the dogs. Poor things have been put on the back burner since Lilly arrived!!! So I thought I should post some pics of them! Shanna brought her dog, Reese, over the other day to meet her cousins. Reese was a little scared of the two big dogs! Lilly, however, LOVES dogs of any shape and size! Roxy likes to lick Lilly's face and she doesn't mind one bit!
