HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

Teaching first grade definitely has it's pros and cons on holidays!! Pro: You get to do silly things and they think it is the greatest!! Con: The kids are crazy ALL week!!
The other first grade teachers and I decided to mess up our classrooms, tie up the chairs and desks with string, and put little green leprechaun foot prints all over our classrooms. When the kids came in, they went nuts! It was so fun to see their reactions! They tried to find the leprechauns all day long! My cute mom came in and brought my class homemade sugar cookies (YUMMY!!!), and a St. Patrick's Day word search. They loved it! Here are a few pictures. They may be a little hard to see, click on them and they become bigger!! I can't wait to do silly things like this with my own kids! Thanks mom for teaching me to LOVE holidays!!

Melissa-
You are much nicer to your students than I am! You go above and beyond. How lucky they are to have a nice teacher.........

My room moms did this. Too bad I missed it because I was home sick.

Hey Melissa
This is such a cute idea. I still remember my first grade teacher she was the coolest she would dress up like a leprechaun and give us green milk and pancakes. it was so cool everyone wanted her as a teacher

First of all, I love your haircut. Second of all, you really do go above and beyond for your kids. I bet they have so much fun. I student taught in a first grade class once and the teacher told them straight up that leprechauns and Santa were make believe. Can you believe it? Talk about killing a first graders hopes and dreams!

I have to agree you are a great first grade teacher and you have so many fun ideas. You must plan with another smart teacher. By the way why are all the feet the right foot did they figure it out?
Haha just kidding I didn't want to get paint all over me either that's why I got lucky and did the toes. hehe
Thanks for being such a great friend I don't know what I would do without you!
