So I know how annoying it can be when people have private blogs because you don't know if they have updated without randomly checking their blog. I have seen a few people do this. I am making this blog public again, and I will post here when I post on our actual family blog. So the updates will show up in your reader. There will be a link on this public blog so that you can click it and it will automatically take you to the private blog. I sent everyone an e-mail inviting them to the new blog. You will just have to accept the new invite. It may sound a little confusing. But I think it will work out better. I don't know, we'll see! If you do not get an e-mail, please let me know. The Wonderful Life of Lilly

Here are some random pics I have taken over the last month of Lilly. She is a very busy child!

She is usually pretty good about only drawing on paper (we've learned the hard way like everybody else!) Somehow she got a hold of a Sharpie and went to town on her little legs!

In this pic she is talking to her aunt Andrea. I don't know where she gets that from! I thought they didn't do this until they were teenagers...or at least able to talk in full sentences!

St. George

This will be shocking to all! We went to St. George last weekend and I am already blogging about it!!!!!!

We went to St. George with our friends Amanda, Neil, and Carter. You may remember them from the post about the Treehouse Museum. We were all looking forward to getting away from the cold to enjoy a little warmth! Boy were we wrong! It was SO COLD! Despite the cold, we had so.much.fun! We were all able to ride together in one car. The drive down was a little hard for the kids to handle. We left here around 5, so they were tired and cranky for part of the drive until they finally fell asleep! We arrived to our condo late Thursday night. We got situated and went to bed. Friday we went to the park at the condo. The kids had a blast. The Parade of Homes was going on during this week, so we bought tickets and went to that. The kids actually enjoyed it, especially Carter. He kept saying things like, "I love this carpet", "I love this bathroom". It was too funny! We then ate dinner at a Mexican Restaurant called Pancho and Lefty's. They claim to have the best fajitas in Utah! They were pretty darn good! The boys also did some golfing while the kids napped and the girls did some shopping while the boys put the kids to bed!

We also went to Snow Canyon and did a mini "hike" then played in the sand dunes. I didn't take my camera with me on the hike, but Amanda did so I will have to get pics from her! Here are a few from the dunes.

Saturday we decided to check out the Washington City Rec center. They had a wonderful pool for the kids with slides and squirt guns and other fun things! We were there for a few hours without the kids getting cranky because they enjoyed themselves so much! After that we went to a few homes then out to dinner at the Pizza Factory! YUMMY! The owner there was so awesome! Carter has a milk and egg allergy and the owner catered to his needs far above and beyond our expectations.

Totally Awesome 80's

Yes, I am playing catch up again! My totally awesome husband turned 30 on January 16th! He is not one who likes a fuss made over him, so I did what I could without making him upset! I decided since he was born in the 80's, it would be fun to have an 80's themed party! I had so many radical ideas, but given the crowd, I kept it to a minimum!!! Trevor has 2 other friends in the group that he has known since Joy School with January birthdays. We have always used it as an excuse to get together! Well, one of those friends wasn't in attendance this year, so it was just Trevor and Ryan. I called Ryan's wife, Kristyn and told her my crazy idea and she jumped right on board!!! Here is our night in pictures!

Mesquite

This post is long over due, like the last few posts I've done! The problem with this one is I changed the format that my camera takes pictures and the format is not compatible with Blogger!!! So I knew I could upload my pics to Photoshop and change the format there. Sounds great in theory, but it wasn't! It kept giving me problem after problem. I finally figured out I had to upload them 10 pics at a time. When you have 200 pictures, that's a LONG time!!! Then I had to export them and resave them 10 at a time! Long story, long, here are the pictures from our getaway to Mesquite!!!

Now that that's over with, here are A LOT of pictures! Don't worry, not 200, but quite a bit for a blog! So read and look at what you want! Trevor's brother, Trent and his family live in California. Their son Carter is 3 months younger than Lilly and they LOVE to play together. We have been trying to plan a little getaway together for a while, and finally planned it for Jan. 14-17. Which happened to be Trevor's 30th birthday! We had sooooo much fun! We wish we could do this every month! We had adjoining rooms and every morning Carter would knock on the door and Lilly would yell, "Carter". It was so cute, they just couldn't wait to play together. On to the pics.

We arrived to the hotel and had a little fun with this cool tunnel that Carter brought. I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the dads!!!

Then we set out to find a park. (We were taking advantage of the 60 degree weather!!!)

After a hard day at the park we went to dinner!!!!! There are 5 exclamations because it was quite the adventure with these 2 sitting together in a booth!

Usually when we get together Trevor and Trent head out and do fun things together. Tiona and I decided we were going to go out and take a break and relax! We drove around trying to find a place to get a pedi. Apparently the town closes at 6 (except the casinos!). We FINALLY found a place that stayed open until 7 (it was 6:45). It was so nice and relaxing! (Good thing I shaved the day before :P)

The buckets on the head game was one of the favorite games of the weekend!

The hotel had a bowling alley, so we decided to go bowling. Here is Lilly with her daddy.

This was Carter's first time bowling, so Lilly, the expert, was coaching him.

After bowling, we decided to get a pizza and some brewskies (IBC Cream Soda). The kids were eating together, or Lilly was eating while Carter watched!

We always have to have a cousin bath. They had fun drawing on each other with some body paints. (Thanks Aunt Jaclyn)

My Aunt Rosie has a condo in Mesquite that she lives in during the winter. We made sure to pay her a visit.

This is Aunt Rosie's mom, Grandma Mancuso. (She is 106!!!!!)

Aunt Rosie and Little Grandma are too funny! They go to a casino almost every night to gamble!!! One night while we were waiting in line to eat dinner, in walks Aunt Rosie pushing Little Grandma in her wheelchair! It was quite the funny sight!

Treehouse Musuem

Our good friends, Amanda and Neil, called us up and asked if we wanted to meet them at the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. They have a little boy named Carter who is just a little less than a year older then Lilly. They have a lot of fun together. The museum was so much fun that we decided to buy a membership! Lilly was mad when we left! She just wanted to stay and play all day!!! I took a TON of pictures! Here are a "few" from our day! I'll let the pictures talk for themselves!

New Year's Day

New Year's Day we went bowling with Trevor's family. Lilly absolutely LOVES bowling! Her and Connor had a great time bowling together.

After bowling we picked up some pizzas and headed to our house to eat and hang out. Lilly drove us home! Or maybe she was playing while we were waiting for the pizzas!!!

After the festivities with the Fousts we headed to my parents house for some Dutch Olie bolie and Etta Soup (split pea soup). My dad made the soup and Olie bolie. Olie bolie translates to "ball of oil". They are sort of like scones with raisins in them that you dip in powdered sugar. They are a New Year tradition and are so yummy! My dad worked hard to make us food, then had to leave to work the Jazz game. So we hung out with my sister and mom and played some Canasta.

New Year's Eve

I'm sure you're relieved to see that I have moved on from Christmas to New Year's!!! Because we had such a busy, but fun, Christmas, I didn't make any big plans for New Year's. Our good friends, Eric and Kayla called us New Year's Eve and asked if we wanted to come over for a little party. So we got ready and headed over there! It was a lot of fun. The 4 kids played together while the adults ate yummy snacks and played Cranium (guys vs. girls, girls won!!!) Kayla and I ended up doing a puzzle together and at midnight we drank some "bubbly" to welcome in the new year! Happy 2011!

Yes, this is another Christmas post. And yes, I do realize it has been almost a month since Christmas!!! The day after Christmas we went to my Aunt Sherri's house to celebrate Christmas with my cousins. We had a fabulous dinner, did a gift exchange, and just enjoyed each others company!

My cousin Devin just LOVES Lilly and she just LOVES him! We used to play with this McDonald's stand when we were little. Now here is Lilly playing with it! She is ordering her meal from Devin.

Christmas Day

My parents and sister decided they would come to our house Christmas morning to watch Lilly open her presents. This year I made Lilly a table tent (that will be a whole other post later on!) While we waited for my family to come, we let Lilly explore her tent.

Here she is with her presents with her cute Santa jammies and her cute hat!

My sister and Grandma gave Lilly this super cute pink chair. I have been wanting to get one of these for a while, so I think I was more excited than Lilly!!!

My sister gave Lilly some play makeup before she opened any of her other presents. Lilly just wanted to put the lipstick on over and over and over! My sister thought it went on clear, but it went on Barbie doll pink!!! We had to tuck it in her pants so she could open her presents. She would open one, put on lipstick, open another, put on lipstick, and on and on.

Her she is with pink all over. It's a little hard to see in this picture, but it was the best one I had!

Lilly got a new baby doll and she instantly knew what to do with her! She even gave her pink lipstick kisses!

She is such a good mommy! She even pushed the baby around in her stroller and covered her face with a washcloth!

Opening a present:

Lilly loved opening her presents. She is still at the age where she just wants to play with the one she opened. We eventually got them all opened! We then made a yummy breakfast (actually Trevor did!) After breakfast my family left and we headed to Trevor's parents' house. When we got there things were a little quiet. The only people there were Trevor's dad and younger brother. Come to find out Christmas Eve Trevor's Grandpa was rushed to the hospital. To make a long story short, his heart gave out and he had to have a pacemaker put in! Due to a series of certain events, and tender mercies from the Lord, Grandpa Noble is doing great, dare I say better then he has been in years!!! We are grateful everything worked out for the better and he is still with us today!

After Trevor's parents, we headed to my parents to open our presents there. Lilly got this fun new kitchen! I love it because it is not too big, but it still has all the fun features of a kitchen.
As you can see by the pile of wrapping paper, we were all spoiled rotten!!!

After we opened presents and got spoiled from my parents, my dad made a SUPER yummy pasta dish! We devoured that, then played some Rockband!!!

Of course there are several more pictures, I just narrowed them down! We had a wonderful Christmas spent with our families. Now that we have a child, Christmas has that magical feeling again!!! I hope you all had a Merry Magical Christmas, too!

Christmas Eve

During the day on Christmas Eve, Lilly and I went to my sister's house and made sugar cookies with my mom and sister. This was always our tradition growing up, but since I got married they have either done it without me, or we have done it on another day. I am happy I was able to help out this year and that Lilly can start participating as well!

We always open the sibling and grandkid gifts Christmas Eve. I don't normally like to "brag" about the things Trevor and I get, but I will on this one. Trevor's older brother Jason went a "little" overboard this year and bought Trevor a new router!!! We are so excited to start building more with our fancy new tool!!! (A router is for making fancy edges on wood pieces.)

Family Christmas Party #1

On Dec. 23rd we all headed up to Mendon (which is close to Logan) for a family party with Trevor's side of the family. We had planned to go snowmobiling and play in the snow, but there wasn't enough snow to play in! Instead we enjoyed each others company, ate some yummy food, and played some "Minute-to-Win-it" games. We had a great time!

Ward Christmas Party and Game Night

The day after our Ugly Sweater party, we had our ward Christmas Party. We had a yummy dinner and good company! Here is Lilly with her little friend Jaedan. They were walking around holding hands! It was too cute! The only pictures I took that night were of these two holding hands!!! Jaedan kept turning back and looking at his mom, and eventually ran straight into a wall! Oops! Usually they have Santa come, but he didn't make the visit this year! :(

We got together last weekend with some of the girls and their families that I used to work with. We had fun eating and playing the Wii fit!

Ugly Sweater Party and more...

On Monday, December 6th, we had some of my friends over that I grew up with. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures! :( We just had a potluck. The food was delicious, but the company was even better! We had a good time catching up, and all the little kids had fun playing together. There were 4 kids there and they were all girls!!!

Then Friday the 10th, we had Trevor's friends over that he grew up with (plus Eric and Kayla) for our 2nd annual Ugly Sweater Party. We decided to have a night without kids. Since it was at our house, we let Lilly sleep over at my mom's house! Her first sleepover, and MY first night away from my little princess!!!! She had fun with Grandma and Grandpa. And as a special treat, my aunt Debbie happened to be here from California that weekend, so they had fun together, too!

Earlier that day Lilly helped me make a yummy dessert. By helped I mean she licked the beater clean! She definitely takes after her mom on this one!

Every year my mom's side of the family has a family reunion around November/December. We always go to a hotel, have dinner, kids entertainment, raffles, silent auction, and dancing until midnight. After the party we have a hospitality suite where we talk and eat again (we're Italians) until 3-4 in the morning. This year I was on the committee to help plan the party. We start months in advance, and meet about 4-6 different times before the big day! We always have so much fun. This year I was especially excited because I knew Lilly was old enough to actually have some fun! And boy did she have fun! She was going constantly until 12:30, and went to bed kicking and screaming! She didn't want the fun to end!

This is my sister's best friend, Hillary. She is FABULOUS at doing hair and makeup. I put Lilly's hair in sponge curlers, and I needed a little assistance in making her hair look cute. Lucky for me, Hillary came to my rescue!

Lilly absolutely loves my cousin Daniel, and I think the feeling is mutual. He is always so good to play with her and entertain her.

This year Santa was a little busy at the North Pole, so we called in back up. This is Hillary's husband, Chris. We call him the Great Huddini (their last name is Huddleston). Lilly was VERY enthralled with the show!

Here is another one of Lilly's loves, Cameron! She kept running to him and wanting him to hold her! He was a good sport and kept playing and dancing with her. He even asked when he could babysit!!!

We truly had such a fun time at the party. My sister was sharing a room with us, and she won a free hotel stay, so our room was comped!!! She also won a griddle, and my parents won a $50 Olive Garden gift card and an IPod shuffle!!! I wasn't so lucky! :( My mom is so sweet and she bought Lilly's gorgeous dress, which is a whole other story! What a great way to get the Christmas season started!!!

Normally my family has our big family reunion the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This makes it a little tricky to decorate for Christmas that weekend. I have been REALLY excited to decorate this year and almost decorated BEFORE Thanksgiving (I know, I know...) I was so happy that we decided to have our party the first weekend in December. I took full advantage and decorated and wrapped presents on Saturday and Sunday.

When I was younger I had this little tree in my room. I have always hung on to it even though I haven't used it for a few years. I'm glad I kept it. We put it up in Lilly's room. She absolutely LOVES it! Daddy showed her once how to put the ornaments on, and she was a pro! We have a cord that has a button you push to turn the lights on and off. She knows how to use it and loves that she can turn her lights on and off anytime she wants! I loved watching her decorate! It was so much fun!!!

I thought since today is the last day in November, I would hurry and do my Thanksgiving post! I know you're shocked after it took me almost a month to post about Halloween!!! Anyway...

This year Thanksgiving was spent at my parents house. We had the most delicious turkey dinner!!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and one of my favorite meals! Here are a few pictures from our day.

My sister and I cleaned the ENTIRE kitchen (when there's over 20 people, that's A LOT of dishes!!!) We filled the dishwasher up and still washed a TON of dishes by hand. Lilly really likes to play in the water when I'm doing dishes, but we didn't have enough room for her to help. My mom is so cute and got Lilly her own tub of water to play with!!!

My grandma (my mom's mom) always had her funny sayings for the holidays. Her saying for Thanksgiving was "Happy Turkey Day". My sister was at Old Navy and saw this shirt, the problem was they didn't have Lilly's size! I called all the stores in SL (since I happened to be going there) and NONE of them had her size. I then called Layton as a last option and they had it!!! I was so excited. It is a really cute shirt on a really cute girl! My grandma would be so proud!

I thought I better do a Halloween post before Thanksgiving arrived!!! We had dinner and pumpkin carving planned with some friends, but unfortunately their little boy got sick the day of so we had to cancel. The day before Halloween we figured we would carve the pumpkins by ourselves!

Lilly had fun Trick-or-Treating this year. She said "Trick-or-Treat" at most houses and always left them with a "thank you" after she got her treat! It was raining by the time we got out, so we didn't go for very long. That's OK, she didn't really understand any way. Our friends/neighbors dressed up as the Rubbles and they came Trick-or-Treating with us. Here is a picture of them:

Every year Trevor's Aunt Gaylynn has a FABULOUS Halloween party. She definitely did not disappoint this year! She had a schedule of games from 4-6, Dinner, more games, ghost stories, and an outdoor movie! All the games include prizes for EVERYBODY! The winners get a bigger prize and the losers get a consolation prize! We always have so much fun at these parties, thanks Gaylynn and family!

Since Trevor and I both graduated from USU, we thought it would be fun to start going to a few football games a year. We HAD to go to the USU/BYU game!!! We were excited to go and take Lilly with us. We got there a little early so we could get Lilly some USU attire! We found her a cute outfit, bow, and tattoo! The weather was perfect. We ALL loved the game. Lilly really got into it. She was clapping, cheering, and yelling! She kept playing with all of the other fans around us, she was the hit (next to USU slaughtering BYU!!!) USU games are always so much fun. The fans really get into the games. We have never been to a USU football game where they have won! So it was even better that they won, and to top it all off, they beat BYU!!!!!!!! We truly had a great time and will definitely do this every year. We will also be going to their Homecoming game next week. We can't wait!

St. George

My parents decided to go on a golf trip to St. George over Labor Day weekend. I went ahead and invited myself and my family to go with them! :) One of my dad's friends had a heart attack the week of and everyone else decided not to go. So it ended up just being us. We had SO MUCH FUN! We drove down early Friday morning, and Trevor and my dad went golfing while Lilly, my mom, and I went shopping! We ate dinner and my mom and I went to see Tarzan at the Tuachan Theater. It was good, but I had just seen Lion King 3 days before, so the talent was a little different!!! It was still a fun play to see. Saturday we did more shopping and golfing. We decided to go swimming that night. Lilly loved it because there was a little pool just her size! She didn't have to be held or trapped in a flotation device (which she hates!) After Lilly went to bed, we played a card game called Canasta. Sunday we did some more swimming and Canasta playing. Monday we went to Zion's on our way home. We only did two little hikes because we didn't want to get home too late! It was so nice to get away for the weekend. Thanks to my mom and dad for letting us tag along with them!

We were lucky enough to have my sister-in-law Tiona and her son Carter come stay with us for a week! Tiona's husband, Trent, was going to Scout Camp for a week, and she decided she would drive up here for a visit. Lilly and Carter are only 3 months apart, so they LOVE spending time together! They played so hard during the day that there wasn't even a fight when it was time for naps or bed! When the kids went to bed at night, Tiona and I went straight to work! We have both been wanting to make a table tent. So we thought this would be good motivation. We worked well into the wee hours of the morning sewing, talking, and laughing! Crazy things happen after midnight!!! The tents are not completed, but close! I can't wait to post pics of the finished product! Enough talking, here are some pics from our fun filled week.

We love going up Mueller Park Canyon and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Unfortunately, we only made it up once this year! It was a lot of fun though! I wish I would have taken pictures of the s'mores because they are THE BEST in the WHOLE WORLD! We use the Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies instead of graham crackers and chocolate. This time we added peanut butter, oh I was in heaven! They are even better with peanut butter! Here are some pics of the cute kids that were with us!

On July 23rd, Bountiful has a day and night of festivities. Trevor's grandparents live a few houses away from the street where the parade is, so we always go down for dinner and head to the parade.

On the 5th of July, we started out with swimming with the Foust side of our family. We had a lot of fun! Lilly loves to go swimming. We have gone quite a few times this summer, but never with Daddy. This was his first time swimming with her this season. They had a blast together!

Every year on the 4th, my Uncle Joe has a BBQ at his house. They live in Highland, and have acres and acres of land. Everyone brings their own meat to grill and a dish to share. We always have a ton of great food!

On July 3rd, we went to the Kaysville parade. The parade was REALLY long! They have a waterfight at the end of the parade, which is the whole reason we go to the parade! The boys all have a great time playing! We first had breakfast at Trevor's parent's house. It was yummy!

After the parade, we came back to our house for a BBQ. The parade followed by a BBQ had been a tradition for the last few years with some of our friends. We sat around and talked for awhile, then the boys played some basketball. We had such a good time that everyone stayed until it was time for fireworks! We watched the fireworks at Davis High.

We went to the zoo last week (pics to come) and we discovered she has her daddy's allergies:

She woke up crying at 11:30 pm with her eyes all swollen! We decided to give her a bath to wash anything off of her and to calm her down. Luckily we had her 15-month check-up the next day. The dr. confirmed it is allergies and prescribed some eye drops!

California 2010

I have a FABULOUS Aunt Debbie who called me up in May and asked if Lilly and I wanted to come out to Laguna Beach for a visit! I very excitedly said "YES" and we set a date right away!!! Lilly and I headed out on June 3rd (which was my Aunt's birthday) and came back on June 11th. We had a WONDERFUL time! We did miss the daddy, but we were sad to leave California! Normally I would refer to it as sunny California, but we were there to witness the "June Gloom"! Aunt Debs picked us up from the airport and we met her best friend, Marianne, for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. After lunch, we went back to the "Thornton Villa" (that's what we call their house). My aunt always has a cute gift back on our beds with an itinerary for the vacation. That night we went to Javier's for dinner. It is a really yummy Mexican restaurant that we always go to and get shrimp enchiladas! They are delicious! I will now start posting pictures to go along with what we did in California!!!

The Renners are friends of my aunt and uncle that we see every time we come out! We have known them since before their oldest, Tommy, was born! (He is now 16!!!) They absolutely loved Lilly and she loved them! They wanted to keep her!!! (I can't blame them!)

My brother-in-law, Trent, and his wife, Tiona, live in San Pedro, CA. We were lucky enough that Tiona and Carter were able to come visit us in Laguna!!!

Our prayers have been answered! Miracles DO happen! We sold our house in Logan! We are so happy to not have the burden of renters and whether or not everything was OK clear up in Logan. It was a bittersweet moment, mostly sweet, but a little bitter. This was our first home. It was a great house, we LOVED it (despite all the water issues!) We are happy that a new young couple starting out their family gets to start it here. We hope they love it as much as we did.

Lilly is so upset that she made such a mess of her "Ozzie outfit"! We had some sort of pasta, and she wanted to eat it with her hands. I should have taken her clothes off first! Thank goodness for Spray 'N Wash!

Side note: Ozzie (who is my sister's dog) gave this shirt and matching socks to Lilly for her birthday! Ozzie is a Yorkie and so are the dogs on the shirt, so he HAD to get it for her! Thanks, Ozz!

A few weeks ago, we went to visit my Aunt Della. She gave Lilly this cute yellow dress and the white shoes to go with it. I knew she would love to see Lilly in this outfit. We had a lot of fun. Aunt Della and Lilly just love each other and love to play together.

Big Girl

For some reason I was really sad to switch Lilly from her carrier to her "big girl" carseat! We bought this convertible carseat in January, but I couldn't bring myself to making the big switch until she turned 1! When I saw her in it, she looked so big and "grown up". She loves to look around and be able to see what's going on. (Don't mind the carseat hair!!! It always gets messy when we drive!)

Not only did we celebrate Lilly's first birthday, we also celebrated my mom's 60th birthday! My mom's birthday is the 19th and Lilly's is the 20th, so it was a BIG weekend for us!

My sister and I started making a scrapbook for mom my over a year ago and we had SO many pictures it ended up being 2 books! We also had everyone there write a letter to my mom to go in it!

This is my cousin's son, Colten. Daddy's never been so proud! (That's lipstick in his hand!)

My mom DID NOT want a party, she didn't even want to go out to dinner, so it was EXTREMELY difficult to get her to the party! We got her there even if she was kicking and screaming!!! She even ended up having a good time! Happy birthday, mom! I hope I look as good as you when I'm 60!

So it turns out that the issue with my laptop is NOT the cord! We have to take it in to get fixed, and depending on how much that costs, it may or may not get done!!! My sister was my designated picture taker on Lilly's birthday. On Sunday, I downloaded the pictures from her camera to my laptop. Then Sunday night, my power cord decided to quit working! So I can not use my laptop at the moment. We have ordered a new cord and it should be here Friday! Pictures should be up sometime this weekend!

Today is Lilly's 1st birthday! It is such a bittersweet day for me! I may or may not have shed few tears over the past week already! We are celebrating today in true ladybug fashion. Pictures to come! I must go get ready. I just wanted to wish my Princess a Happy 1st Birthday!

So I decided I should probably post Lilly's 11 month pics before she turns 1 in two weeks!!! I'm sad/excited that my baby will be 1! Anyway, that post will be here before I know it! Here are her 11 month pics.

I just wanted to share something because I CAN NOT stop thinking about it and my heart is ACHING! (You will understand after further reading).

I started teaching First Grade in January 2007. I came into a classroom that had A LOT of issues. The teacher was sick and gone a lot of the time, and the students had a lot of personal issues as well. This was my hardest year of teaching, but I also have some of the best memories and relationships with these students.

I had a set of twin boys who were quite a handful! When they weren't acting up, they were really loving and clingy to me. (Which they weren't with anyone else.) I will not go into a lot of the details of these boys, but if you are a teacher you will understand this. The more time you spend with the "trouble" kids, the closer you become with them. These boys have always held a special place in my heart.

They are now in fourth grade. I was informed yesterday that one of them died. He was killed by accidental gunfire. My heart broke immediately! My heart aches for the family, and especially the twin brother.

The teachers at "my" school had a math training today and I was supposed to sub for one of them. They canceled the class, but still asked me to come in. I was there to help where help was needed. I think it helped me more than anything to be there with my friends that also knew this child. It was good to talk with others and to mourn with them.

I know a lot of assumptions and conclusions are being made. There are A LOT of details we are unaware of. All I know is this family needs prayers, and LOTS of them!

These two boys will always hold a special place in my heart.
